CPU top shows 9% on Java Kill Java/MPLAB and restart MPLAB to get back on track. Hangs sometimes when switching to MCC Sometimes MPLAB is not showing in Task Manager. Intel i3, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, MPLAB X 5.40, Java 1.8.0, device ATtiny814 Hangs sometimes when adding Device resources in MCC. ![]() Then I moved the project back to my main development machine and the problems are gone now. ~/.mcc/libraries/pic10-pic12-pic16-pic18-1.77.0 I was lucky enough to move the development for a while to my laptop, which didn't have the new version of the library, so it warned me and made that change in the M圜onfig.mc3 file. ![]() ![]() The following change in the M圜onfig.mc3 file did the magic: Old line (MCC hangs): New line (MCC works OK): The correct operation of MCC was restored after I downgraded the peripheral library. Hi, I experienced exactly the same problem. Switching to Linux Mint is problematic for me, as my system has grown over the years and many applications have been added. I am working with Ubuntu 20.04 (but it was the same before the update from 18.04) and i would like to continue using Ubuntu. Not had any issues with Linux Mint 18.3, only delay opening up MCC. ![]() Hopefully someone with more knowledge that can understeand better the terminal windows I posted can find the reason of failure and some path to follow and keep trying stuff. Luckily I managed to get screenshots of the terminal: After waiting while MPLAB X was frozen this other log appeared, and it seems to be something with java: And well, after going through this again (this is not the first time MPLAB X fails in some way for me) I am really considering of just changing to another brand of MCUs with a more stable platform. In the linux command line I used the command: 'mplab_ide &' (without quotes) and it let me work normally for a while, no freezing while in MCC, nor while coding untill about 30 mins ago, I changed a line of code, resized the window and it froze. Dhpalmer vleroylr Hi, so this is what I found.
